This was exactly what we needed to install an Axiom Streamliner Disc DLX Rear Bike Rack on my wife's small mountain bike with 27.5 wheels. Went on smoothly and everything fits.

I've used this AXIOM clamp on both Aluminum and Carbon Fiber Road Race Bikes and it works very well on both although with Carbon Fiber that usually have Seat Post Caps you need to remove the collar on the clamp so there is no lip.
This works well on my Trek Madone 6 Series. In both cases though you'll need Insulated P-Clamps for the drops and it helps to use 3M Self Fusing Rubber Electrical Tape so the P-Clamps don't move and shock is somewhat dampened. Also clearance is needed between the P-Clamp and the Cassette for some frame setups.
I even bought a couple of extra seat clamps for a local bike shop as they were interested in helping other customers with needs like mine with Carbon Fiber frames.
