Great TimingSmall, Lightweight, Presta attachment method
I had been commuting for a few weeks when I realized that I had a patch kit but, duh, no pump. So I started looking on line and saw good reviews of this pump and ordered it. Two days later I hit a nail. I knew it was a nail because when I pulled the tube out the nail was still sticking in it! The tires on my mountain bike takes about 60 or 65 psi to seat in the wheel. I don't carry a pressure gauge and I didn't want to overfill the tire so I stopped pumping at about 250 strokes, but that didn't seat the tire. After riding to work I pumped some more and it finally seated. It sounds like a lot of strokes but they are not difficult.
The small size is great and it worked well with my Presta tubes, something that I had worried about.
I considered the CO2 cartridges but didn't want to worry whether I had replenished an emptied cartridge or wonder how many to bring in case one didn't quite fill right or I had to put on an extra patch.
