Five Ten Impact VXI

Product:
Five Ten Impact VXi Men's Flat Shoe Granite: Size 11.5
Ownership: several months
Tech Knowledge: high
Pros
Great traction, great toe coverage, comfortable, water resistant
Cons
Roomy toe box compared to contact model, would like to see thicker longer wearing heel material
Other Thoughts
I wear heavy merino socks and toe box is just too roomy allowing toenail to tear into upper Material after a month. The rubber wear fairly fast on heel if you wear them every day and walk in them. More comfortable than the Contact model though.
These set the bar for a quality flat shoe but may not fit everybody

Five Ten Impact VXi Men's Flat Shoe Granite: Size 11
Ownership: a few months
Tech Knowledge: somewhat high
Pros
Great looking and durable shoe. Super sticky soles. Protective toe cap probably saved me from a serious toe injury.
Cons
Shoes run short and very wide. The upper is also quite stiff because they offer tons of protection. This makes them hot in the summer and it is hard to lace out the extra room caused by my narrow feet. I would buy them again but for $150 I wish they fit better. The Freeride edition with softer uppers may work better for people with narrow feet.
