Simplicity. Very durable design and build quality. Works for almost any bike.

Clamp is a little wider than it probably needs to be which can limit the areas on a bike that can be clamped.
Other Thoughts
Thus is a great clamp. I have a park double clamp stand and on the other side from thus clamp I have the newer 100-5d clamp. I still find myself using this clamp just as often and even prefer it more than 50% of the time. The handle and adjustment mechanism are just so simple and durable it's hard not to like this. It's easy to imagine getting at least 20 years of use from this. I always clamp all bikes by the seat post no matter what, so the possible advantages of the 100-5d over this clamp are pretty minimal to me.
