Better stopping power
Less likely to pick up debris
Less likely to grind your rims down
In dry conditions these work insanely well. In wet expect 25% loss of power. Yet still far superior to some ive tried.
Cons
Does produce some slurry in rain
Other Thoughts
Your loaded touring bike needs these pads. Sounds silly, but in rain on hills you will want these.

Pros
Dual materials make this a good brake for stopping on downhills. These seem to be durable and can be adjusted as needed. Assembly was somewhat complicated, but once I knew how to do it for my bike, things went reasonably well.
We have a lot of hills in my neighborhood, so I've had a chance to use the brakes at various amounts of force, including on steep downhill runs. These pads work well in all conditions, even when somewhat wet.
Cons
A bit difficult to assemble if you have limited experience setting up brake pads. Keeping everything at the correct angles was a bit challenging.
Other Thoughts
Overall, I like these brake pads and would buy them again as needed. The price from Modern Bike was very reasonable for such high quality brake pads.
