- Unique 12.7mm steel handlebar is 43% smaller than standard to allow better control with tiny hands. Custom logo mini-grips are soft urethane with protective ends. Machined-aluminum quick release allows "No Tools" height adjustment from 46-56cm (18-22").
- Strider-exclusive, ultralight one-piece wheels sport a raised-letter, five-spoke design with 10 bearing support gussets for maximum strength at the lightest weight possible.
-
Top-quality sealed cartridge bearings roll smooth and never need adjustment.
-
EVA polymer (industrial foam) tires are super light and durable yet offer a smooth ride. Best of all, they never need air and will never go flat.
-
The durable, all-weather mini-saddle is designed specifically for beginning riders and their tiny hips. Smaller, narrower, and lighter than a typical saddle, this seat allows for proper riding position and posture. ** The Sport model also includes a padded XL saddle and long seatpost to fit kids over 3 years and allows seat height adjustments up to 48cm (19").
-
Machined aluminum quick release allows "No Tools" saddle height adjustment from 28-41cm (11-16") for the perfect fit for your child.
-
Unique, frame-integrated footrests are properly positioned directly below the saddle for natural bike balance. This position also fosters the advanced ability to stand while gliding as well as pumping and jumping the bike.

Excellent choice!

Strider 12 Sport Balance Bike Green
Ownership: several months
Tech Knowledge: average
Well built and easy for my 2 year old to ride! Other balance bikes that he has tried seem big and unweildy for him, but he can cruise right around on his strider. Would recommend to everyone.

Product:
Strider 12 Sport Balance Bike Green
Ownership: a month
Tech Knowledge: low
Pros
The bike was delivered very quickly. Much to my surprise, before my 2 yr old's 2nd birthday. Have seen my grandson ride a balance bike. He's 3 yrs old. My grandaughter's parents want to hold off starting her on the bike, but I'm optimistic it will be a grand success. I'll let you know next spring. Live in MI.
Cons
None
Other Thoughts
I saw a # of comments that delivery was delayed. Didn't experience this at all. I think it arrived in 2-3 days. Impressed!!
Fun balance bike for a 3yr old
by M of Jacksonville, FL on August 24, 2016
Ownership: a month
Tech Knowledge: average
Pros
Very light and compact
Has padded handlebar for additional safety
Step through frame - good for beginner bike riders
Many colors to choose from
Came with a second larger seat to allow the bike to "grow" with the child.
Cons
One of the handles on the handle bar is black while the other has a dark green-ish hue to it. Basically. the two handles are of two different colors or one is visibly discolored.
Foam/plastic wheels instead of air tires for comfort and grip (though positive side is that you'll never have a flat tire)
Lack of kickstand
Other Thoughts
The first thing our child said when she got the bike for her 3rd b-day was: "Where are the pedals?" I feel like we are taking a bit of a gamble starting with this bike instead of the traditional concept. Allegedly it is supposed to help the child learn how to balance so that she gets a faster start on her own on a regular bike w/o side wheels, etc. So far our daughter has gone on very short "rides" on the side walk near our house. She seems to want to go but she also seems unsure about the bike and how to propel herself. She is definitely now rolling on her own, just "walking" on the bike. I'm assuming this will change with time. On the box or instructions or website I remember reading somewhere this will make you look like a rock star parent. Well, so far we mostly got stares of pity for the child not having a proper bike and questions from folks in the neighborhood who have never seen such an invention before. We hope this bike will live up to the promise of being actually beneficial to the child's development down the road.
