"Bar Mitts evolved from many years of hang gliding and cold winter bicycle rides. During the cold months, I used my hang gliding mitts on top of my bicycle handle bars. Hang gliding mitts are used on a straight steering control bar. As one can imagine, not being on the shifter and brake levers had its downfalls especially when it came to descents and emergency braking. Length

The seatpost diameter must match to the seat tube diamater of your frame. If replacing a seatpost, you can usually find this measurement etched near the bottom of your current post.

Seatpost length is measured in millimeters. It is typically measured from the bottom of the post to the center of the rail mount.

Offset is often referred to as setback. This is the distance in mm that the clamp is offset from the center of the seatpost.

On a dropper post, this is the distance that the post will drop.

Rigid seatposts are the most common type of seatpost with no suspension or dropping capability.

The ISO diameter is the true diameter of the rim and determines which tires are compatible.

Rims are drilled for specific tube valves. Schrader and Presta are the two common choices. Presta valves are the skinny, often threaded type.

Stem length is measured from the center of one clamp to the center of the other clamp. This measurement is sometimes known as the reach or extension.

S.H.I.S clamp diameter is the steerer tube diameter.

Stem angles are measured perpendicular to the clamp. For example, a 90 degree stem is straight. Sometimes, this may also be refered to as a 0 degree stem. If two measurements are listed, the stem can be flipped for angling up or down.
