Bought this because the Wolftooth oval I had didn't work with the Eagle XX1 chain I bought to quiet down my E*thirteen TRS+ cassette. I really enjoyed the pedal stroke that elliptical chain rings create. Very smooth and powerful. The narrow/wide profile is good and retains the chain very well.
Upgrade to Oval and never look back!

Pros
Quality product. Provides an exceptional advantage over traditional chainrings. Gives you additional power to reach higher top end speeds, yet the design allows for more efficient power transfer during slow climbs, resulting in less energy needed and easier pedaling.
Cons
None.
Other Thoughts
I went from a 28 tooth symmetrical ring to a 30 tooth oval and the climbs still felt easier. I did this intentionally after i read about it first. I wouldn't go past 2 more teeth though. I was spinning out too quickly so the added teeth also gave me more top end pedaling speed.
