Brooks Aged saddles are easier to break-in because the leather has specially formulated waxes and balms skillfully worked into the hide. This results in a more comfortable ride, from day one.
The B17 and B17 S Aged are the new versions of our flagship models. The B17 has been on the market for over 100 years, being featured in early as the 1898 catalogue. Comfortable from day 1 thanks to the softer leather, the B17 and B17 S are ideal for sportive touring, trekking and atb use.

Brooks B17 Standard Aged Saddle
by D. Bruce of Walhalla, SC on July 21, 2015
Product:
Brooks B17 Standard Aged: Tan with Laces and Black Steel Rail
Ownership: more than a year
Tech Knowledge: somewhat high
Pros
Brooks makes high quality saddles that never seem to go away. They are beautiful to look at and once broken in, provide a great ride. They also require more care and time to keep nice, but the time is well worth it. They always seem to draw attention for those in the know. I use a separate seat post/saddle arrangement as I break in the saddle and switch out until the saddle is broken in. I found the B17 the most comfortable (so far) and the easiest and fastest to break in.
Cons
These saddles are not for light weight racing bikes. They are best suited for those who sport/tour and are not concerned with the weight. However, I get as much enjoyment out of riding a bike mounted with a brooks saddle as I do riding a racing bike, so it's a win- win situation.
Comfortable

Product:
Brooks B17 Standard Aged: Tan with Laces and Black Steel Rail
Ownership: one year
Tech Knowledge: somewhat high
Pros
Unparalleled craftship
Good weight
Cons
Not suited for swept-back handlebar-style riding
Other Thoughts
Unbelievable durability!
My sit-bones are slightly smaller than most adults and I prefer to ride a higher-upright touring bike with swept-back handlebars (Nitto Bosco). The saddle is not as wide for my style of riding and is not comfortable, thus, I use a Brooks b-67 and all my worries are gone (because I now ride pain-free).
