Pros
I have been running a Campy 10-speed drivetrain for around 20 years. About 12 years ago I changed to a Chorus 50/34 crankset (from a 52/39) and 12-25 cassette (from a 12-23). I haven't gotten any younger, but our local hills seemed to have gotten steeper. I recently decided to install a Campy 12-30 cassette. My original short cage Chorus derailleur could not quite handle this so I purchased a Campagnolo Veloce 10-Speed Rear Derailleur with Medium Cage. It was reasonably priced and shipping was fast. This derailleur works like a charm. Shifting seems to be just as precise and with the short cage Chorus and those steeper grades have leveled off a bit.
