Cateye Strada Cadence CC-RD200 Cycling Computer
The CatEye Strada Cadence has a slim profile.

The Cateye Strada Cadence is a cycling computer that won't let you down.

The Strada Cadence has been a staple in the Cateye line for many years - and for good reason. With it's simple wired design, there is no worry about sensor transmitting range and pairing. Once setup you can trust it to work.

With it's rear sensor picking up both speed and cadence it's ideal for use both indoors on a trainer and on your outdoor treks.

The Strada Cadence boasts the largest screen and numbers in its class. With the new ClickTec(tm) interface, you can switch among eight modes by simply pressing the bottom of the computer face. Your selected mode (cadence, average speed, etc.) displays at the bottom of the screen, while your current speed always appears at the top in huge, easy-to-read numerals. An up/down arrow tells you whether you're above or below your average speed.

The innovative FlexTight(tm) bracket mounts quickly, securely and without tools to virtually any handlebar or stem. The new tool-free speed and cadence sensor mounts effortlessly to any standard (non-elevated) chain stay. Are you spinning or grinding? Guess no more.

    StarStarStarStarStar Excellent product

Product: Cateye Strada Cadence CC-RD200 Cycling Computer
    Ownership: less than a week
    Tech Knowledge: average

    Pros

Being wired totally eliminates any signal loss, a real plus. The length of the wire was sufficient. It has two trip distance recorders which is perfect for my application. I am 68 y/o and will be using my bike on a training stand for cardio conditioning. I set the mode to distance and reset it daily to keep track of my progress.
The handlebar mount is very secure.

    Cons

The digital unit must be removed from the wired holder to make any setting changes. Besides being a bit inconvenient, there may be some wear issues over time. Could not find the cadence magnet...looked (almost) everywhere,it was stuck on the back of the speed magnet. The cadence magnet did not stay in place, no big deal breaker for me. Since I am riding on a trainer stand and not changing gears the MPH readout will be my cadence tool.
Wish the large speed numbers could be interchanged with the smaller numbers used for distance. Guess most of these devices are designed the same way. I tried a wireless unit before purchasing this one. The wireless unit would not transmit at all.

I recommend this product for its price, ease of installation and functionality.

StarStarStarStarStar It's like having a tachometer for your bike.

    Ownership: more than a year
    Tech Knowledge: somewhat high

    Pros

Easy to use, easy to program.

    Cons

Needed to use spacers to get sensors to work.

    Other Thoughts

I have purchased this about 3 years ago and it has never let me down. When I first got this I've always wondered how fast I was pedaling. Awesome product!

Product: Cateye Strada Cadence CC-RD200 Cycling Computer
    Ownership: more than a year
    Tech Knowledge: average

    Pros

Has all the functions I want.

It works when your bike is on the Kurt Kinetic Road Machine. Most wireless units don't have the transmission range to mount on the rear wheel, so they are useless with a trainer.

    Cons

The tab that fastens the unit into the handlebar bracket used to be flimsy (see below).

Wires (but it works on a trainer).

    Other Thoughts

I had the same model several years ago. After too many times in and out of the handlebar bracket, the fastening tab broke. Hopefully they fixed that problem by the time I got this unit.

Also, as I get older I worry less about cadence and more about how the pedaling feels. If I have to replace this unit down the road, I may opt for one without cadence.

Some cycling computers can display a power reading, usually in watts. They usually require a separate sensor - in some cases a special hub or crank arm. A few will estimate the value based on speed, cadence, rider weight or other data. "Optional" means it can read from a separate power meter or sensor. "Included" means it is calculated by the computer or includes the neccessary sensor.

In stock orders usually ship in 1-2 business days.

This gives you an estimate of when an item should be available to ship once ordered.
