I haven't really gotten to use these yet. I got them to replace a bent spindle and thought I'd indulge the weight-weenie in me to get a lighter set.
I got one pedal swapped out no prob, but the other not so much. When tightening the outer spindle nut, the nut just kept spinning. What ended up happening, I believe, is the spindle threads stripped from the (harder) steel nut. I wasn't using a torque wrench, but I wasn't cranking on it either. The torque tolerance on this is quite low, and there's probably no safety factor thrown in there for good keeping. I'm not sure if this is a manufacturing defect, since the other installed just fine with the same methodology, or just a dangerously weak product. Either way, I don't like purchasing products that feel this flimsy regardless of their weight savings.
