Amazing bright light, I’m still running a 1300 Cygolite on my back up bike that I bought many years ago.
Excellent performance from this manufacturer.
Fantastic quality, features and brightness.

Pros
I own three CYGOLITE headlights and three CYGOLITE tailights. This Cygolite Ranger 2000 is blisteringly bright on the 2000 lumen "boost" setting. This particular Cygolite version has a nice white color balance and a broader spread of light to illuminate a wide section of road and not just a narrow lane. I use it on a weekly 40 mile round trip to a meeting in a nearby town. My trip takes me on a dark rail trail through a forested area and on state routes and county roads and the this light really helps me to see a wide area to alert me to animals and other dangers. I also travel briefly on a four lane US highway by necessity and where it is legal. My Cygolite Ranger 2000 really lights up the way and makes my presence super known to highway traffic. The Cygolite Ranger 2000 has individually adjustable brightness settings on each individual low, medium, high and other settings so you can fine tune your brightness levels and preserve your battery for long rides which I really like. On darkened country roads I've found that the low setting is all I need for 10 to 14 MPH riding. The brighter settings are good for getting the attention of traffic and for overcoming the glare of city riding. The 2000 lumen setting is great for blasting down hills at higher speeds but is too bright in really dark areas where your eyes are adjusted to the night. I really like the individually adjustable "flash" and "pulse" settings that I use for daytime. The flash and pulse speeds are adjustable to keep from over irritating drivers on the road and pedestrians on the bike path. This Ranger Series light uses the same handlebar bracket that my Cygolite Metro 1100 uses so I can easily switch between the two lights without undoing the bracket from my bike.
Cons
I love the Cygolite clamp-on bracket which I much prefer over rubberband type mounts but I still find that it's best to put your own rubber strip around your handlebars under the mounting clamp because these heavier lights can still slip when hitting hard bumps. They come with small rubber strips but I find they are not enough so I just used a rubber tube from a plumbing part from the local big box home improvement store and cut a piece to fit under the light clamp. It holds the light rock solid and keeps it from slipping. The light itself slides in and out of the handlebar bracket, which is great, but I wish the sliding pieces were aluminum instead of plastic like the rest of the light just for the sake of durability.
Other Thoughts
I really like all of the CYGOLOTE headlights and taillights that I own and I stick to this brand for the quality and features.
I use it every day

Pros
This is the sixth Cygolite that I have purchased over many years. They just keep getting better and brighter! I use it every day and have been very pleased with the brightness, range and wide field of vision. Great light! Sturdy, very bright, wide field. Charging port and cover are improved.
Cons
Too heavy for helmet mount.

"Founded in 1991 by a group of Southern Californian cycling enthusiasts who envisioned bicycle lighting systems utilizing the latest technology with trend setting designs, Cygolite developed a line of systems that made it synonymous with innovation and quality. Over 20 years later, we still lead the way, creating rechargeable lighting systems inspired through test rides on the trails and roads then engineered and assembled in our California headquarters."
