Pros
This is a well made unit, simple in itself and adaptable to a wide range of local and bikes. It includes a handy "tray" for the rear tire to set on, so as not to mar the wall finish. I can use it with all of my bikes, road touring and wide mountain tires.i have skills in wall hanging hardware, use of tools and common sense, so hanging the holder took about 15 minutes following the clear directions.
Cons
The only draw- back is actually finding a suitable wall stud for holding the upper unit. Screwing this safely to a stud is the key to success. Given the weight of off road, down hill, or freeride bikes I wouldn't trust the integrity of sheetrock and spring fasteners alone.
Other Thoughts
I installed the DaVinci in the small office/ guest room/ catchall. No problem using a small space. Guests like it for hanging clothing, etc. I find it not intrusive, and hardly noticeable when not in use. I'd highly recommend this over wall- leaning units or hooks in the ceiling.
