I have had a couple of DMR Defy stems in different sizes. I think that they are largely overshadowed in the US market and aren’t really available in that many places. On my opinion they just look awesome. They sort look like a direct mount stem. The biggest selling point for me and for anyone in my position is if you are stuck with a short steerer tube and are switching frames. The stack height is so low on this stem that it took my new frame build from not working at all with other stems to being perfect. The stack height may seem a bit unstable at first glance, but the stem is so burly all the way around the steerer tube. It really has a solid feel like looks really sick while doing it.
