If your drive side shell is not faced, the fixed cup can cause the bearing on that side to bind. Another option would be to not tighten that side flush and tighten mostly from the non drive side. A shell that was 2mm from square on the drive side murdered the last bb. Less credit to LBS who sold their facing tool. Trek bikes are "high quality " and don't have this problem! Some attitude. I fixed it with a file and checked with machinists bluing.
