Returns and Exchanges
Please inspect all merchandise for any defects or poor workmanship. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, we ask that you return it in new and unused condition and in the original undamaged box or packaging, within 30 days after receiving the item for replacement or refund. Orders placed between now and 12/25 can be returned through January 25th, 2025.
You should have your original receipt. No returns will be accepted for installed items, custom parts, complete bicycles, undergarments, batteries, battery chargers, bulbs, tools, food and nutritional items, software or videos. All items will be inspected before any final decisions are made on credits. The returns department retains full discretion on granting full or partial refunds, exchanges or in-store credits. All returns must be packaged carefully or they will not be accepted.
Quarq products are subject to a 30% restocking fee.
If you received a discount on an order and an item is returned and the order no longer qualifies for the discount, the discount will be deducted from your refund.
At our sole discretion, special orders may have additional terms or restrictions. Special orders are orders where we special-order an item for you that was not already part of our web offerings. Orders over $1,000 or with a quantity of items greater than 10 may also be considered special orders.
Refunds and Store Credit
Shipping/Handling costs are not refundable. All shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. If the purchase includes a set shipping price (example: free shipping or $6.99), you, the customer are responsible for the actual shipping/handling cost that was paid on your behalf to send the order to you, which in most cases is more than the set shipping price. This amount will be deducted from any refund. This covers all exchanges and all refunds.
Because shipping companies charge based on the size of the box, if a prepaid shipping label is provided, the item must be sent back in the box we originally used to send it to you. Failure to use the original shipping box may result in additional charges, which will be billed to you. If you no longer have the original shipping box, please discuss this with our customer service staff prior to using the label.
Modern Bike issues credits for accepted claims. If you paid with a credit card, your refund will be issued against that same card. If you paid by any other method, or we are unable to refund the original card, your refund will be in the form of store credit.
