Pros
Very audible and engaging 'click' when shifting. Seems very well made and precise. Fit and finish are both top rate. Shimano 9 speed downtime shifters are getting harder and harder to find and NOS is super spendy. I gave up buying used Shimano as you never know just how worn the mechanisms are. Worked perfectly with Shimano Dura Ace rear 9 speed derailleur.
Cons
None really... they work.
Other Thoughts
Made in Taiwan vs. mainland China... Much higher quality. I much prefer down tube shifters to brifters as they separate the brake function from shifting. Have had several brifters wear out over time which means a much more expensive replacement. Plus on pretty much any steel bike, even newer ones, down tube shifters are more pleasing to the eye.
