Pros
Low rider configuration for panniers with a top tray for additional storage.
Cons
Heavy, only meant for suspension forks. It is wide for a mountain bike (maybe even the fat tire bikes), so the bags hang out from the bike pretty far. Definitely not meant for a rigid forked bike, but the website didn't mention that. I found out when I received the rack in the mail and read the installation instructions.
Other Thoughts
The modernbike.com website did not mention that the rack was intended for suspension forks. After I received it, the very first line I read in the installation instructions said "This unit only intended for suspension forks, not rigid forks". I wouldn't have bought it if I saw that on the web site. I was able to use it, but I had to wrap 3/16" urethane gasket material around my rigid fork so the clamps would tighten on the fork. It performed well on a 370 mile tour.
