This is my 4th set of Thumbies, I can't ride drop bars due to some wrist issues, so need to convert my road bikes to straight bars. I'm not a huge fan of rapidfire from my shop days [11 yrs as service manager, many moons ago] for the lack of trim on the front derailleur, and grip shift is unusable due to the aforementioned wrist issues, so it's thumbies on every bike I own. They're great!

Pros
Turns bar end or downtube shifters into thumb shifters, great for converting a drop bar setup into a straight bar setup.
Cons
A bit pricey.
Other Thoughts
I prefer this style to modern mtb shifters. The design is simple and to the point, and will probably outlast any other style shifter.

Pros
Thumbies work exactly as they should. No fuss, no modifications needed. The engineering was done right. I’m using them to mount Dura Ace bar end shifters on an old bullhorn bar, and these work perfectly.
Cons
Calculate the price per gram and it’s a little shocking. But you’re paying for the design and execution, and those are well-done.
