Great alternative to clipless.

Pros
I have been using Power Grips for years. I only recently purchased a new set of straps to replace the originals and use them in tandem with the high performance pedals.
Very durable, easy to set up and use.
They are easy to slip your foot into, very comfortable and you are not limited to cycling shoes.
Your foot stays planted to the pedal through the entire pedal stroke, yet easy to slip foot out with a natural movement when you need to.
Cons
Can't think of any.
Other Thoughts
Highly recommend as an alternative to going clipless.

Customizable and sturdy.
Cons
Mine dragged on the ground and frayed when I decided these didn't solve my problem.
Other Thoughts
I tried these to alleviate toe overlap and save my shoes and fenders. However, after prolonged use My toes grew numb. I decided that gripper pedals might solve the problem.
