Pros
Used this to mount a chainguide to my carbon CX bike. Pay attention to the torque specs and use plenty of carbon paste. Best thing about this mount is the vertical adjustability that other clamp on mounts lack. This is much more a standard front derailleur mount.
Cons
Not sure what the paint will look like when I take it off.
Other Thoughts
Make sure you measure your seat post where the clamp will be going.

Other Thoughts
Building up a bike using some surplus parts. Used this to mount an older Campy front-derailleur on a new Surly frame. Worked as expected and I was able to get the front shifter properly aligned.
A Simple and Inexpensive Fix!

Pros
This was a simple fix when a friend wanted to upgrade his mechanical group from a mixture of Shimano 105 & Tektro parts to Dura Ace 9000. His previous front derailleur was clamp-on and the new (used) FD was made for a braze-on attachment. This was an inexpensive fix and it has worked great!
