The Mr. Whirly Offset Double (MWOD) ditches the large chainring and moves the granny and middle rings to the outer two positions, increasing tire clearance at the chain without increasing Q factor or sacrificing the low gears.

- MWOD cranksets are ideal for the Surly Moonlander or for a Pugsley using 82mm rims; in both of these scenarios it helps to use a purpose-designed offset crank to solve the problem of chain-on-tire rub in the lowest gears; no other drivetrain modifications are necessary
