Best thing for ice

Pros
A pair will end your worries about sliding out on ice. You can ride on slicker ice than you can walk across with boots. 5 psi for slick ice, 6 psi will roll and coast better on snow covered ice. I have ridden several 30 mile rides on plowed (snow covered ice) roads in northern Michigan only to watch for snow deeper than 2 inches that can throw a wheel to the side but my average speed was about 9 mph. I am very happy with them. I have a tubes in them. They went on very easy on my fat tire ebike which is kept in an unheated open shed.
Cons
Riding in 3-6 inches of snow can be a challenge, over 6 is impossible.

good winter tire. ran it down to about 8 lbs during the worst of snow. made it through about four inch of snow on rail trail with 1500 watt electric hub motor and 30 ah battery. if you want to stay upright on icy roads, you need this or similar studded snow tire.
Cons
no complaints.
Other Thoughts
expensive. I paid 175 dollars each. saw them on-line this spring for 225. ouch. should last many winters though.

Pros
Tires work very well on sticky and fluffy snow. I used this tire on hard pack snowmobile trail also. The steel studs are really sharp and give me plenty of confidence on ice. You can break trail easy without problem.

None for now.
