Other Thoughts
My son was in the middle of his racing season when the Brain shock blew out. So I wanted to keep him on his bike while the factory shock was sent to Specialized for service. So I came across this mount. While the website and instruction for this mount discuss clearance issues they only mention one Fusion Shock that is guaranteed to clear. Problem is that you cannot get that shock ANYWHERE and I looked in other countries as well. So you are on your own deciding on what shock might clear your frame. The other problem is that none of these shock manufactures bother to list the canister dimensions or if the do they measured the center of it not where it mounts at the top. I ended up going with a Suntour Edge because it listed it as being a compact design. In actuality it is not that compact BARELY clears my son's Medium 2018 Epic Pro. Maybe a business card or 2 at best. But it does not hit and he has been racing on it for a month or so now. The outside of the canister at it widest measures 51mm. Ironically the shock on my MTB has a 2017 Fox Float with a diameter of 47mm or so and would have given me more clearance and less worry. I hope some of this info helps
