Reviews of Axiom Pet Basket with Rack Mount and Handlebar Mount: Black

This is a very nice pet bike carrier. Joey is safe and I have no worries. It fits regular bikes fine, but I own an electric bike, so I had to make a few changes, no problem. My bike has a wider rack on the back. Joe weights about 11 lbs now, he is a terrier. I have searched many times for a pet carrier, and this one is well worth the money. It also serves as a carrier for other things, groceries, picnic stuff, it's all around GREAT!

Bought it for my dog but it was too small but such a great basket I'm keeping it and giving away my basket purchased at Walmart

I got this to carry my pet chihuahua on rides with me on my comfort bike. I originally wanted to mount it on the handle bars but with the brake and shifter cables and bike computer it was impossible which is why I gave it only 4 stars. The basket is more suitable to mount on the handlebars of single speed bicycles with pedal brakes. It does mount quickly to my Topeak bike rack and is big enough for the dog to move around even though he is tethered. I can hang a small bag with his water bottle, snack and leash on the side of the basket. It also comes with a rubber mesh mat in the bottom so that his feet are protected. Without the mat the metal mesh bottom of the basket has large enough openings that small animals can get their toenails and toes caught in the mesh causing them a lot of pain. I still put a small towel in the bottom.
