Brooks Flyer Saddle
Pros
It fit nice when I got it, and it's even better three years later. Fits me well, and I love the looks of it on my Bianchi Eros commuter. I have about 3K on it, and it's still plenty stiff, and just starting to break in some.
This seat is heavy, but that also means it's made well and is going to last. I have installed on a steel framed bike, and this Brooks just makes my smooth ride even better.
I use the Proofide a couple times a year, and be sure to get underneath the saddle where water can splash up. You have to baby these leather saddles a bit to keep them nice.
I also have the Brooks Imperial on my Fuji carbon road bike (CCR-3), and love that one too.
Cons
The Flyer springs really don't do much to cushion the ride. They're really stiff, but they look really cool. ;-) I'm sure the B17 Standard would work just as well as the Flyer for most riders.
Other Thoughts
I'm a believer in Brooks saddles. They're nice quality, and time just makes them better.
Not for riders worried about extra ounces on their bikes.
Best saddle ever
Great saddle!!! Worth every penny. Looks unbelievable.
Comfort atlast!
Pros
I've tried all kinds of saddles but favor brooks saddles from experience my first was an old founder off of an old English racer that I put on a mountain bike ahh... that hammock effect! But you see there's 150 feet of crotch busting stutter bumps about two blocks away from my house, on the way to the super market a mile and a half away I wanted something even more comfortable than my b-17 so I purchased the flyer special with copper rivits and was well rewarded that I could float overs the craters forgetting the whole time that I was sure the street must have been repaved although my eyes were telling me otherwise needless to say the short time I've had the saddle I can tell it's leather is taking an impression of the ishial tuberosities (sit bones). I'm very pleased and will purchase another one for my other mountain bike please note I'm riding a r 400 cannondale all aluminum I might add muuucchas grazia oh yeah I weigh 260 lbs
Cons
None
Loving this saddle!
Great for a semi-upright bike
Pros
Suits a 350+ lb rider, no more broken rails on a pretty upright setup.
Cons
Weiner goes numb after 15 or so miles, but I can deal. Wish they made one with a cutout.
Other Thoughts
Looks sharp
