Pros

Solid, smooth and quiet hub. It's nice that one can upgrade the ratchets for quicker engagement, though the upgrades are expensive and make the hub louder.

Cons

The 18 tooth ratchet engagement is on the slow side. The 24 tooth upgrade seems just about right for a road bike, though it does make the hub a bit louder and costs about $51. DT Swiss updated the design and look for many of its 350 hubs in 2022, cutting weight and making some minor improvements, but not yet in this configuration. Would have been nice to have the new design.

Other Thoughts

I bought this hub to replace the obnoxiously loud hub on my Hunt carbon wheels. While the Hunt hub has much quicker engagement (7.5 degrees), it's overkill for a road bike. The sound of the DT Swiss hub with the 24 tooth ratchet upgrade (15 degree engagement) seems just about perfect to me. Loud enough to be noticed, but not at all obnoxious.

Pros

Smooth bearings and a good price. Plus everything I've read says these hubs are bullet proof. The standard freehub is pretty quiet which is just what I like. I know a loud freehub is popular, but this one is quiet.

This was my first wheelset and I had no problems.

Very nice rolling hubs engage nice and are very low noise

Second set of wheels we assemble. We have had the first one for over a year and it works great. Really no issues.
