The Gold Standard for a Reason
Coming from the world of backpacking and light use recreation it made sense to purchase a good quality pannier to venture into bicycle packing and touring. As our young family ages we look forward to many years of use from Ortlieb panniers. There is a reason they are considered the standard for all other manufacturers.
Well Designed
Pros
Well Designed Panniers. Waterproof. Bought for my Recumbent trike's rear tire rack. Very adjustable and clamps nicely onto the small tubing of the rack; enclosed accessories enable various size tubing and design enables various mountings.
Cons
Instructions geared for two wheel bicycles; although adequate.
Other Thoughts
I rode Harley's for 26 + years and used an Orlieb duffel during that time. Top quality, waterproof and wear resistant. Outstanding products.
Modern Bike
I just completed the build out of my 2nd bike. Thanks to Modern Bike I was able to obtain the needed components in a time when bike parts are getting hard to find availability. The service was quick and the price was very competitive. Thanks to Modern Bike I’ve had very little down time from my daily rides. Highly recommended!

These are, undoubtedly, the best panniers available. Not pricey when you consider the value of my MacPro, and other valuables that I can't risk getting wet. Everything is kept bone-dry inside. I use empty MacPro boxes to carry my shirt and pants to keep them wrinkle-free. Because these are so easy to remove (just lift the handle-strap), it's easy to get changed. These panniers make the trip pleasurable, and the bright orange color (not fluro) gives me an additional sense of security when I'm on busy streets. These are the only panniers I would recommend. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

These are pannier perfection….absolute industrial quality construction. Just purchased my 2nd set of them, with my original set(7-8 years old) still going strong on another bike and barely broken-in. The only outlay to date has been a buckle replacement, which cost about $5. These are spacious when needed, but can slim down easily when empty. After the initial setup, taking only a couple minutes, they require zero adjustments or maintenance. Looking forward to using these for many years to come and based off my first set, guessing they'll last as long as I do.

I think the only "con" some people might consider on these is the cost, with other options out there that are a bit cheaper, but they are worth every penny in my book. Lessons learned from my Depression-era grandmother about cost versus price and the benefits of quality were definitely supported by my experience with the performance, reliability and durability of these Back-roller Classics.

Really love the bags... packs well with lots of room. Like that they are reflective and water repellent.
Cons
Clips have a tendency to come unclipped at times from the bottom. It could be it gets jostled from all the riding.
