Great a must have for chainring swapping
Keeps your chainring bolts from getting stripped
Well-made, useful tool
Pros
Good design, well-made, reasonable price.
Cons
None.
Other Thoughts
A useful addition to my growing arsenal of chainring nut wrenches. No one tool seems to fit every chainring nut, so you'll need a few different designs if you are working on a wide range of bikes.
wrench works
Pros
Works as advertised and fits into tight spaces especially if you have a triple ring. It seems thin but for securing the slotted nut as you crank it down from the other side, it works just fine. I would not try to use it as the device doing the torquing of the bolt, I do not believe it was intended for this use.
Cons
Seems thin but it is not really.
Park CNW-2 Chain ring nut wrench
A lot of the parts on my 2003 Trek Alpha 1000 wore out in 2014 including 2 of the 3 chain rings. One of the chain ring nuts is located behind the crank so I needed this tool to loosen it. Still I needed to grind the center nub down for the tool to fit in that space. I got the old chain rings off and the new ones on. The tool does what it's suppose to do. If this bike had a crank set where the crank didn't interfere with the chain ring nuts I would get chain ring nuts that use a hex wrench of different sizes on each end of the nut this works much better. If anyone is going to do this job her or his self also get Park tool CWP-7 to remove the crank and chain rings from the bike it makes it much easier.
