I've used this tape on a couple bikes, and can't recommend it enough, it lasts, and is very good value.
Beautiful and Comfortable!
Pros
Great cushioning, really good looking, easy to use, and matches details on my road bike.
Cons
None so far.
Great tape
Great product that feels right under my hands
Salsa Bar Tape
Pros
Beautiful to look at. Comfortable on the hands.
Cons

Awesome service
Great company to do business with I got exactly what I ordered.
Legit, great tape
Pros
Squishy, just the right amount of grip.
Cons
Could be a little longer
Bar tape
Wears very well and a good cushion for your hands
salsa tape
Pros
Went on, and staying on. Good cushioning, but not too much. Good product. Also from a great bike supplier.
Cons

Love Salsa Bar Tape
Pros
Lasts long, washable, just the right amount of cushion/squish, looks good, feels good, has a nice amount of stretch when you install it.
Cons
I wish Salsa would sell their finishing tape separately... I had to unwrap one side of my bars recently to do cable work and salsa finishing tape looks better than electrical tape.
Other Thoughts
Salsa is my go-to tape. I have it on four bikes.
My Favorite bar tape!!
Pros
Great Feel
Easy to wrap
doesn't seem to rip easily
easy to clean too
Other Thoughts
I have tried several bar tapes
- Lizard Skinz - nice, but rips quickly and is expensive
- Supacaz - awesome, but expensive. Didn't seem any better than Salsa's bar tape and is more expensive. So now Salsa is my go-to bar tape and I can change it all the time it is so inexpensive. I can make a change just for color, even when the tape isn't worn! :)
Pretty decent bar tape
Pros
Comfortable
Easy to use
Lots of colors
Looks good installed
Cons
Bar-end plugs are cheap
Other Thoughts
Pretty good bar tape at a decent price offered in many colors.
Works, but is pricey.
Pros
Comfy
Easy to apply
Cons
Price
Other Thoughts
I used this tape as an under layer on my drop bars. For that purpose they worked. I feel they are overpriced for this type of application and have sinced switched to more affordable cork tape as an under layer. They did however hold up very well.
Favorite Bar Tape
Pros
Durable--my last rolls lasted 2+ years/8,000 miles. Feels good--just the right amount of cushioning and grip. Waterproof--doesn't get soggy. Neither slick nor sticky when wet. The rolls are long enough (compared to other brands that barely give you enough). Nice looking--I replaced my bar tape and a couple people asked if I got a new bike. :-)
Cons
No complaints.
Other Thoughts
I bought my first Salsa tape over 2 years ago. Now it is my go-to bar tape. Looks good, lasts long, feels good. I recommend it whole-heartedly. It has a little bit of stretch to it when installing. Modern Bike has one of the best prices for Salsa tape on the 'net.
Best Gel Cork Tape Around

Very happy with Salsa Gel Cork tape
Pros
Tape is durable and comfortable
Cons
fades over the years.
Salsa Bar Tape
Really nice bar tape...good cushion. Have had several people comment how sharp it looks!
Nice Tape
Pros
Very Stylish, easy to wrap, not too short, affordable and doesn't stretch like some.
Cons

Good stuff
Pros
I tried a few brands of bar tape including a popular brand that costs a lot more. I keep coming back to this one. It's comfortable, more durable than other brands and has just the right amount of stretch and adhesive to make wrapping an easy job.
Cons
I can't think of any cons.
Not dark blue
Pros
Good bar wrap tape. Long enough to warp your bars.
Cons
Not what I'd call dark blue. Not what the picture online shows. Same blue used on Toyota FJ Cruser.
Other Thoughts
Blue looks ok but should have waited for the black to get back in stock.
My favorite cork tape!
Pros
I really like Salsa bar tape. It is plenty thick and cushy. I also like that the sticky on the back is not tape or adhesive. You can pull the tape back and reapply it many times until you get it just right. I also like the embossing that comes on the tape.
Cons
A little more expensive than similar tapes. It is a little tiny bit slick when it is new.
Other Thoughts
I just completed a 300+ mile tour with this tape and it worked great! I ride with cloth or this salsa gel tape exclusively.
Like this the best for a wrap.
Pros
Long enough to do your bars. Some aren't. The feel is great even when wet.
Cons
They didn't have it in black so I could order 2 of them.
Pretty nice
Pros
Comfy, nice grip and cushion.
Cons
Expanded a bit when exposed to rain, messed with my trigger gear shifter.
Nice handlebar tape
Pros
Nice and squishy, stretches nicely during installation, comes with bar end-plugs and adhesive tape, seems pretty tough (never felt like it was going to tear during installation), has a nice amount of grip--not too slick and not too sticky. Salsa gives you the perfect amount of tape for traditional dropped handlebars. I added some extra (thin) padding on the top position of the bars before wrapping and still had 4-5 inches left over.
Cons
None, yet.
Other Thoughts
The new tape felt good on my first ride. I would give it 5 stars, but I can't tell how long it will last. If it holds up for 5,000 miles then I'll give it 5 stars.
Nice feel, nice appearance.
Pros
Nice feel, beautiful appearance, easy to work with. Impossible to go wrong.
Cons
I had a big, gangly H-bar project to wrap and I could have used another 6 inches of it....it was more than enough for any drop bar though.
Other Thoughts
Worth every penny.
