Reviews of Slime 20 x 1.5-2.125" Schrader Valve Self-Sealing tube
slime tube
I ride a bike daily in Fresno, in the great valley of California and there are goat-head stickers, so called because the seeds have pointed spines like horns and goatee so that while two point down one always points up. If you have a similar problem then the slime tube really comes in handy because the punctures are such that, when the sticker is removed, the slime will almost always seal the puncture if the tire is re-inflated and ridden on.
Jury is out
Pros
Hopefully will seal any small leaks if they occur.
Cons
Much heavyer than I imagined. Sealant clogged presta valve requiring removal & claening in order to hold air.
Hard to judge at present
Previous reviews recommended these tubes. I ride out in remote areas, so a flat could be a big deal. I hope that I never have to find out how well these work, but I am confident that they will work as indicated.
no flats
Pros
Will get you home even with a puncture most of the time
Holds air better than regular tube
Cons
Heavy. Hard to find some sizes
Other Thoughts
If you need a 700c x 35 with a Schrader, look for the 29x1.5 (same size)
Utility: no pro or con
Pros
None
Cons
None
Other Thoughts
Merely utility as a spare tube.
