Easy to order. Quick delivery with updates. Product purchased was as described. Would use this company again.

Pros

For the price of another frustrating excuse for a tire pump, I was able to take an otherwise good old pump and equip it to really work. Instead of pumping at least half the air back into the atmosphere, it all goes into the tire! It is convenient to be able to the use the same pump for all my bikes.

After 10 years of heavy use my pump stopped holding a seal on presta valves and this kit did the trick. Even though the shipping charge doubled the cost of the item it was still only around $10 which is better than paying $50 to replace the pump with the same model. Installation was easy.

This saved a perfectly good pump which I bought from another source at the scratch and dent sale. Save me big $s.

It's great! The presta valves go entirely inside the head while the schrader only goes in a 1/4 inch. Once I started doing that, it works very nicely.

Cons

I broke my first one because I insisted that both styles of stems could be treated equally. Not so. It won't pump if you insert a schrader entirely into the head. Still very nice.

Seems to be holding up well after hundreds of inflations.

I use this with a compressor and an air blaster valve.
It is the best pump head I've ever used. Easy on, no slip, easy off. No complaints.
I bought a second one for the vacation house.

Doesn't matter size of the order , they just take good care of customers. I'll be shopping all around and I feel like here I get personalized service. Thank you Modern Bike and Andy!

I do wish Topeak would offer to sell ONLY the rubber presta/schrader sealing donut gasket separately as a single replacement part. That is the part that wears out the fastest. To my knowledge you can only buy it in the "Smarthead" rebuild kit.

Other Thoughts

I have put these heads on my 30 year old Z'efal husky and a much newer Park PFP-5. They are an excellent way to upgrade your existing pump. You WILL dig it!!!!
