This is simply a part that one will need one or several of that will enable quicker seat replacement without the need to transfer the original seat clamp onto the replacement seat. This is a time saver.

The clamp had hex nuts that a regular hex wrench does not hold on to.
I did not use an adjustable wrench. When I applied torque to the wrench, it seems that the hex nuts were just ever so slightly smaller than the wrench and the wrench did not grab on to the sides of the hex nuts.

Provide the right hex nuts for this clamp.
Note from Modern Bike: We're not sure what you mean by, "...the right hex nuts for the clamp." It comes with 13mm hex nuts. Any 13mm wrench will work.

The item came with hex nuts that a regular wrench does not really grab on to. When I tried to apply torque to the wrench to twist the hex nuts, the wrench gave way. It seems that the hex nuts are just slightly smaller than the hex wrench that is supposed to be the right size. Other sizes of wrenches are too big or too small. However it was relatively easy buying the right hex nuts for the clamp.
