Pros
Keeps headlight wire secure on dynamo power connector.
Cons
I expected these to have springy type contacts to mate up with the contacts on the dynamo hub. However, these just have two holes impregnated with dielectric grease that you push your headlight (or acccessory) wires through, then fold the wires back inside the gray cap, put the black cover on, then put the whole assembly on your dynamo connector. The wires then become their own "contact" and hopefully maintain a good circuit. Not sure if this is just some age-old bike dyanmo convention or what, but seemed kind of chincy to me.
Other Thoughts
One of these already came with my Shimano dynamo, but I thought it was just a protective cap at first.
I soldered the ends of my dynamo wires to prevent any loose strands from one or the other wire causing a short inside the connector.
