Bar clamp was really tight on my bar. As it is a single bolt clamp, this is actually good for holding bar from slipping without overtightening the bolt. Had to take bolt out and screw in backwards using penny in slot to open clamp enough to get bar in stem without scratching the heck out of the bar. Once bar is in stem very easy to adjust and clamp tightly.

S.H.I.S clamp diameter is the steerer tube diameter.
