Pros
I've been switching all my bikes from 170 mm to 165 mm cranks to help with knee issues, and swapping this onto my MTB was by far the simplest of all the conversions. And unlike some budget-conscious cranks where they make them all arms all the same length but just drill the pedal holes in different locations, these arms actually are shorter.
Other Thoughts
The last few years, I've made a lot of changes to my bikes to accommodate the fact that I'm getting older, less flexible, and I really need to get the bike fit exactly right rather than just close enough. Modern Bike's search tools are fantastic - it is absolutely the place to hunt down the right parts to both fit your bike and fit your body.
