Pros

It's a kit. No shopping around for things that you didn't know you'd needed to get your Surly, My Other Brother Darryl rims running tubeless. Honestly, I've never seen those rims on anything but a Pugsley--but what do I know? If you have 'em then this kit is what you need to get started.

Cons

TUBELESS TIRES.
What they don't tell you is that going tubeless is NOT a maintenance-free affair. The maintenance of a tubeless setup is almost as labor-intensive as just dealing with flats in your tube setup. Even worse, the bigger the tire you have, the messier and more expensive the maintenance. I love working on bikes, but dealing with the hassles of "tubeless" on a fat bike is an aggravation.

This kit will be only part of your needs: you'll also need access to compressed air, sealant, and repair kits, and patience.

Other Thoughts

I am currently trying some Tannus liners on my 26x4.3 Ednas and Darrly rims. I'm not real happy with this approach either. The added weight isn't significant but I dread the first time I get a flat in the wilds. So far, so good, but they are a bear to mount! Everything has a trade-off, unfortunately.

I'm giving this item five stars because it works as intended. It's the unintended consequences that make me want to give it zero stars. That's not the manufacturers fault, however.
