I've been using Stan's almost since it first came out and I haven't found any reason to switch brands.
In my experience, the recommended amounts are excessive, which is typical of all sealants (the more you use, the more they sell, right?). I typically use between 1/3 and 1/2 the recommended amount and it works fine. The only downside is that I have to add sealant a bit more often, but that's still only 2-3 times per year, here in New England.

It does the job greatly, assuming you have valves with removable core. It's super ease to put sealant into the tire -- no mess at all!
