Pros
Successfully allowed me to attached a kickstand to my Surly disc trucker.
Cons
It has to be really REALLY tight in order for it to stay in place, especially with a loaded bike. If it's not, the kickstand shifts slightly and can interfere with the cables, cutting them off from use (or worse, cutting them entirely). However, it is extremely difficult to get it tight enough due to the space it sits in.
Other Thoughts
Why not build in a kickstand mount to the frame? Seems simple enough.
