Mondo pack is awesome
by Sheryl D. of Los Alamos, NM on September 4, 2015
Ownership: one year
I can fit a rain jacket in the pocket along with co2 and tubes and a little snack!! It's awesome always having your jacket with you and not having all sweaty in your back pocket!
The zipper bent a bit but still works.
4-PROS 1- CON Still love the pack!

Nice looking! Everyone seems to ask me where I got it, easy mount, good zippers, nice internal loops & pockets for keeping your stuff organized and secure, more room then I thought inside. I can fit my bike lock & cable, gloves and tools inside no problem.
Only CON is the tail light loop tilts the tail light down but my tail light is on my rack so this is not a factor for me.
Really nice looking pack! I like mine a lot and don't regret buying it.
Mondo Pack, meh....

Seems to be the largest "streamlined" saddle bag available. The model purchased has a neat quick release mount to the bottom of the saddle for ease in carrying the bag with you for security purposes.
Plenty of room for a tube and some tools, with a nice netted off area on the flap for your ID, cash, cards, etc.
In spite of it's size, it will not hold a "modern" smart phone. S4 will not fit and newer phones are only bigger.
The co2 cartridge side of the bag is too small. It needs to have a "pleat" into the inside of the bag so you could store a couple of cartridges as well as the tube there. Two CO2 cart and it is full. Anything further stuffed in causes it to rub your thigh. Where there is plenty of room inside to put the tube and tools, etc then you have to be concerned that your tools are rubbing holes in the tubes.
The long, tall, narrow opening along with the upright design make it hard to utilize the space inside and still not have to take every single item out each time you want something from in the bag.
I needed a bag to carry a few items and specifically my phone on a bike with no rack mounts. Looking at the dimensions and reading the reviews online indicated that there was plenty of room in the bag and, on paper at least, it looked like it would fit my needs.
Upon getting it, I realized that the way it is laid out makes poor use of the space it offers. The zipper opening to the inside is narrow and should have been designed into the back of the pack so you could bring the whole panel down and load. Once you have a multi tool and tube inside the space left is narrow and irregular. When reading reviews people mentioned putting a rain top in there, I cannot see how that was physically possible with a tube and multi-tool along.
The size of the bag makes it easy to overestimate it's holding capacity and to over stuff it causing rub on your thighs.
As mentioned in the cons, you pretty much have to load and unload the whole cargo area any time you need one item. The only advantage is that the netted area of the cargo flap keeps track of cash and cards without having to dig for them.
I would not recommend this bag unless you have a very specific purpose for it.
