Pros
Stays out of the way until you need them.
Can carry decent amount of weight without affecting handling.
Pretty easy to put on.
Cons
You need the right braze-ons on your forks.
Other Thoughts
I prefer the Duo to the Tara- but my bike (Surly Ogre) has the right braze-ons for the Duo

Great racks. Fits my new Surly Disc Trucker perfectly. Great for Ortlieb panniers.
Cons
Interferes with thru axle lock lever. I switched to a low profile hex head thru axle, and all is well.

Can't say whether it's lightweight compared to other front rack options, but I'm very impressed by how well these racks will hold any weight I've put on them so far, and I've come pretty close to their max rating with a few loads. Plus they make the front of your bike look like a fighter jet when you're looking down at the wheel while riding. No regrets with this purchase.
