Pros
I'm still riding my rim brake Merlin with Campy Record. All this talk about wider tires got me interested. Well, when I had a tire get trashed, going through a road construction area and taking a few chunks out of my tire casing. I figured I'd see how wide I can to on this bike. I bought the Zaffiro Pro in 28mm. I've got clearance to go 30, I believe. These tires roll very easily and smoothly. They have put up with me rolling over all kinds of stuff. Their size gives me confidence to not be paranoid of road debris. Grip has been great, as I tend to push it on curves/turns. Spent some time in the CO mountains of Summit County and climbed comfortably and descended with confidence. i definitely notice a nicer (more comfy) ride and now wish I'd gone bigger sooner. I've noticed no more rolling resistance because of the larger tires. I used to regularly ride 23mm-25mm tires. I don't think I'll be going back to that and as soon as my wife's bike is ready for new tires, I'm putting 28s on her bike as well. I like the light beige sidewalls too!

Pros
Seems to be a really good tire, although I don’t have enough miles on them to substantiate that impression.
Cons
Very tight fit on my Mavic rims. I kept snapping generic tire levers, and had to dig out my uber levers to get them on.
